Southeastern Utah

The North Star, upper right corner

Jupiter and moons

Shot with a Canon 5D Mark II, 70-200mm f/2.8.  Pretty amazing optics and resolution to get Jupiter and see the moons.  The shots of Jupiter and the North Star are crops taken from 100% magnification.  Click the image to see it larger.

If Terry Richardson was hired to shoot a line for Urban Outfitters Kids...it might look something like this.

Asia, San Diego

Tobal

Cris is a very talented skateboarder and artist hailing from Ceres, California (or thereabouts).  Cris has an interview in this month's issue of SLUG mag, and I had the opportunity to shoot some photos with him.
Check out his art at http://www.mindoftobal.blogspot.com/.   I challenge anyone to try and beat him at a game of S.K.A.T.E.  Not happening.

Friendly Skies

I just got back from a week of working (assisting) in San Diego.  The weather was great.  The shoots were great.  The food was great.
Here are a few shots from the way there.  I'll post a few photos a day from the trip.  Enjoi.

The Esslinger Building, San Juan Capistrano, CA

The Esslinger Building was built in 1939 for Dr. Esslinger's medical offices.  It was designed by architect Alexander Law of Los Angeles.  It was the first medical facility in San Juan Capistrano.
I love the Streamline Moderne architectural style.  I was completely enamored by this building.  I circled the building shooting it from every angle, and then did it again the next day, when the light was better and there weren't cars parked in front of it.  The white stucco and palm trees take me right back to living in Miami and seeing all the Art Deco and Streamline buildings.
