Dyllan Call x Days Market

I realize looking at my blog may trigger an epileptic seizure from all the flashing images. I'll lay off the GIFs for a bit.
However, I have been sitting on these sequences and this still for a long enough time. There isn't anywhere to run the photos, so why not post them?
Dyllan Call manhandled this rail that night. This was shot last May (a whole year ago!). The trick list went like this:
1-Front smith revert, took a while
2- 5-0 revert first try, and then does it again for me to shoot it
3- back feeble pop back in
4- FRONT feeble pop back in
Epic.
As they say," the proof is in the pudding".
Front feeble pop back into the bank
(sorry no sequence, as you can see it was pretty dark)

If you can't tell, I am converting a bunch of old sequences to gifs for fun. I was surprised that my flashes kept up with this sequence at 8 frames per second.

Dillon Anderson - smith frontside flip out

This is from back in October or so.
More GIFs to come.

Flashback Film Fridays again...

Here are a couple of shots that I dug up a few days ago. They are both from the same roll of film, shot back in 2004. Cross processed. (These colors are 100% Photoshop free. They come from the processing of the film). On camera flash on the bottom one... I have learned a lot in the last 5 years.David Law, home court advantage--frontside flip at the Springville park.

Jon Hart--skating this set at night is ridiculous. Ollie.

Flashback Film Fridays x Sean Hadad

I dug up some old skate photos from 2003. This post I'm featuring all film captured images. (Sorry about the dusty print scans). All analog, all natty light, all shot with an OM1.
This is a ripper named Sean Hadad. Sean is one of the gnarliest guys that I have ever skated with. He is the kind of kid that would have jumped down these rails even if he was skating alone--no camera, no audience. None of these were even filmed.
Back tail at Urban, in Orem.

Back five at the University of Utah. And the steepest boardslide in I have ever seen. Patrick Harding on the ground, and Brady Wightman watching from the top.

American Fork Skatepark x Brodie Penrod x Matt Fisher

I rarely take out my camera at a skatepark, let alone get out the whole kit with flashes and everything. I only do that when exceptional skateboarding is going down. That was the case tonight.
I showed up at the AF park with about an hour of daylight left, and ended up leaving with a handful photos and witnessed some amazing tricks I have never done/will never do in my life.
I got the camera out after Brodie switch kickflipped the 8 stair 3 times, (which I didn't photograph). On a challenge, Brodie kickflipped over the large hubba (again, 3-4 times, which works out great for me). Then I started tossing out tricks for him to do on the hubba, and he quickly landed a back tail, back smith (1st try ever), and a back nosegrind. Once again he did multiple back tails and back nosegrinds for me. As Brodie finished, he challenged Matt to frontside flip the hubba--which he did 3 times. Pretty amazing session for the last 30 minutes of daylight.

Omar Budge

This ollie was so big. The runway was rough black top, the bushes were tall, and he took it at angle creating an even longer gap.

Nike SB Dunk : MF Doom

I have been given a hard time about my shoe collection on more than a few occasions. A couple months back I sold a pair of shoes I had worn for three years and it nearly paid for my G10.
I bought these shoes a couple years ago, but have never worn them. If anyone is curious as to why I haven't worn them, check them out here:

If you are looking for a size 9, give me a ring.

SLUG MAG

SLUG Mag is running six diptychs from my series The Moral Minority, including this new self portrait, in the new May issue. The issue is out now, and you can find it in most music/skate/coffee/hipster/boutiques/etc. around the state.
