Desert Noises

Desert Noises
Desert Noises are dropping their debut EP this Saturday night at Velour. Everyone should go check out the show and buy their EP. "For fans of Band of Horses and Fleet Foxes", is how their label, Northplatterecords.com, describes them.
I got my copy of their EP today, and it is good. I happened to shoot the album art as well. The diarama was made by an artist named Jess Smiley (jess-smiley.com). He did he layout too. It was pretty fun to shoot. I love the centaur on the back cover--he is burying a horse's head. Weird.

Dude, Weston - the cover looks SICK!
Obviously, though, you don't get out enough, what with havin' a baby and all...,
Just to fill you in, "Doin' the Centaur" is one of the latest dance crazes amongst young Americans between the ages of 18 and 24 with a median household income of $50,000-$75,000 a year. And "Burying The Horses Head"? Well, that obviously refers to the act of backseat lovin' in a 1984 Chevy Citation.
Just thought you should know what secret codes your spreadin'.
