Jon Hart

Jon Hart would rather do a long five-0 at sunset than take a long walk on the beach.

Leaving Las Vegas

I stopped for 2 minutes to take this photo and nearly got a parking ticket for not putting a coin in the meter. I was literally the only car parked on the whole block. The car was even running. I had to talk my way out of the ticket. LAME.Erin, inside our hotel room.
This is right next to the other hotel.

This is not a Photoshop is an actual in-camera double exposure.
I also shot a roll of Kodachrome transparency film. I will hopefully be posting some of those images in a couple weeks, assuming they turn out. The roll of film expired in 2000.

On my drive home tonight, there was a great lightning storm over the valley. By the time I got home and got my camera, the show was over. I was out, so I decided to take a few shots of the freeway.

As promised, here is the shot of Alex "Worm" Whipp from the Technique ad that just came out in the June SLUG mag. Find a copy--check it out. It's on the page just inside the front cover. You can get SLUG at a variety of locals from Blindside to Coal Umbrella to Velour to local coffee joints and cd stores.

Isaac Russell - RuRu CD Release show at Velour

Isaac Russell, aka RuRu, will be having his CD release show at Velour in Provo this Friday. If you are into some good old indie/folk/rock music, you should definitely check out this show. The album, "Elizabeth", is the first record from local indie label Northplatte Records. You can check out some of RuRu's songs here:
I shot most of the album liner art work. Here is the front cover of the album, one of the inside shots, and the flier for the show.

I just had to post this. This is my daughter, Kate.

Photoshop and skateboarding...

I shot some photos with James Atkin last week. This feeble was one of the "throw away" shots that he didn't want to use for anything (the trick was not gnar enough). I have been playing around with it in Photoshop, and I have to say, I like each of the results for different reasons. Feel free to comment and let me know what you like or don't like.
The original, un-manipulated.
Fake black and white with a fake border.
Fake Lomo...for those who know what a Lomo is.
Fake color.
This back tail is also un-manipulated. I just threw it in for good measure.
So...what is your favorite?

Nature and More

"No Tresspassing"

Which do you prefer: color or "toned" black and white?
